Alison Doody

Alison Doody was born in Dublin in the Republic of Ireland, on the 11th of November in 1966. Model as well as an Irish actress. She made her debut in a Bond film, A View to a Kill in the year 1985. She starred in 1989 as the archaeologist who was sympathetic to Nazis Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Other roles include Siobhan Donavan as Charlotte in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody was asked by a photographer to model and started to model. She then developed her career as a commercial model. Doody was very determined not to do the glamorous work or doing nude. This rule extended into the acting profession. She was cast in a minor role in the film Jenny Flex for 1985's A View to a Kill when she was noticed by the director who cast her. Doody made an appearance on John Willis Screen World Volume 2, as one 12 promising new actors for 1986. 38. Doody was just 18 when she made her appearance in the Bond part. As of today she's the newest Bond girl. A Prayer for the Dying (1997), starring Mickey Rourke, also featured one of her roles as IRA Siobhan. Doody was a silent actor in a 1987 adaptation from The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream wife Lilias. The Storyteller episode from 1988 included her in the leading part of Sapsorrow as well as John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She acted alongside Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Elsa Schneider, an Austrian Nazi sympathiser and a forensic archaeologist in the 1989 film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. It also featured Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody is a co-star with three actors that have played James Bond. Doody played co-starring in 1991 with Jonathan Pryce opposite the British mini-series Selling Hitler, which was an inspiration for the book fraud called the Hitler Diaries. When she moved to Hollywood Doody was a star. She replaced Cybill Shepherd as the L'Oreal spokesperson role. Doody then appeared as Flannery Sheen's lover and agent opposite Charlie Sheen, as Major League II was released in 1994. Doody was off acting for more than 10 years, came back 2003 to play a small part on the British comedy The Actors in which Michael Caine was her character as a character at an awards ceremony. The roles she played include the TV movie adaptation of King Solomon's Mines in 2004, a booklet about the Holocaust, and a short film called Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. in 2010 Doody shot a part on Danny Dyer's feature film The Rapture (2010). She guested in RTE's the medical thriller The Clinic. The project was later shelved. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. She also was on the show as Pam Jefferson in We Still Kill the Old Way. On 21 November 2018 she was honored by the Almeria Tierra de Cine award as well as an award in the Almeria Walk of Fame.
