Aisha Jamila Hinch is an American actress best famous for her performances on the TV shows The Shield and True Blood. Since her first appearance in 2003 she has demonstrated her acting versatility by giving outstanding performances in television series such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7 and Under the Dome. The first time she was noticed was for her character Anna in 2005's film Assault on Precinct 13. But it was her performance in the role of women's rights activist Fannie Lou Hamer on the film biographical All the Way that finally earned her recognition as an actor. Hind received praise by critics for her portrayal as Harriet Tubman in WGN America's time-travel drama series Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. The series has been renewed for a third season by 20th Century Fox Television. Hind recently Hind wrapped filming for the Hollywood movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters that is set to be released in the middle of 2019.
